Sling Shots and Cityscape Hangers at VITRA Design Museum

The Sling Shots and a full set of Cityscape Hangers have been selected for the upcoming exhibition:

Hidden Heroes: The Genius of Everyday Things
Aug 20 - Sep 19 2010

Vitra Design Museum
Buckminster Fuller Dome
Charles-Eames-Str. 1
D -79576 Weil am Rhein

This exhibition is devoted to the “heroes” of everyday life – things that we use on a daily basis, but to which we pay little attention. We know almost nothing about their history, although they influence our lives and have set many standards. We present these everyday heroes together with patent drawings by their inventors, with historical and contemporary advertisements and films, and also with design and art objects that have been inspired by them.

On my return from working in Portugal i was greeted with the wonderful suprise of a book featuring my work! The new release from TASCHEN - Product Design in the Sustainable Era features a double page spread on the Elefant stool and Table.

The book as a whole is a forward thinking and refreshing look at modern sustainable design and from recent reviews i have seen has been well recieved by the design world and critics alike.

Percival Fashion Film featuring Daisy Lowe

Fashion film featuring Daisy Lowe, for the Autumn/Winter 2010/11 collection of Menswear label Percival percivalclo.com. Working with MADE, and what nature had to offer, we created a giant key hole weaved out of green willow and backed with fern on site along with a giant(and regualr) wooden key. We also used smoke during the shoot to add to the mystical feel of the woodland setting. Enjoy.

Shakira - Good Stuff

Over the Christmas period I was working for the multi-talented - MADE, helping them to realise the 'Shakira Space World' section of the new Shakira / SEAT 'Good Stuff' commercial, directed by Alex Turvey.
Involving dancers dressed in mirrored wolf masks and mirror dresses, spinning glitter planets and more, it took few long days (and nights) in the workshop until we were happy with every thing but the extra hours paid off with an amazing 'directors cut' version of the 'Shakira's Space World' section which i will post up soon. In the meantime here are some stills from the shoot days.
